Salim Khoury

For more than 30 years, Salim has managed assets for his family and other family offices, overseeing funds of more than $2bn. His experience spans every stage of the asset management cycle, from structuring and acquisition through to management and disposal, with a primary focus on the hospitality, real estate and financial sectors. His track record includes the management of more than 200 assets in France and Spain, alongside successful projects in emerging markets. In recent years, his core focus has been advising, developing, acquiring and raising capital for fintech companies.

Salim holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and has also studied at Harvard and London Business School. He lectured in finance for three years, sits on several boards across the art and real estate sectors, and speaks English, French and Arabic fluently.

Family Background

Khoury family

Salim represents the third generation of the Khoury family.

The family patriarch, Sheikh Boutros El Khoury, was head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He served as CEO of the North Lebanon Power Company (Kadisha) and was a founding member of several banks, including BLOM Bank and the Agricultural Credit Bank. He also developed a number of landmark real estate projects, including Tabarja Beach and Monte Lebano, and invested in strategic development sites. His legacy spans real estate assets and investments of more than $100m.

In the 1980s he was succeeded by Salim El Khoury Sr., who also served as CEO of the Power Company. A member of the Board of Directors of BLOM Bank SAL since 1987, he also sits on the boards of several other companies and focuses on real estate investment. He holds a degree in French law from the University of Lyon and a degree in Lebanese law from the École de Droit de Beyrouth at Université Saint-Joseph, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
